Jacob Nahmias

Jacob is a biochemistry and molecular biology student at Hamilton College with interests in life sciences, writing, and impact investing. His primary focus is on novel therapeutics and treatments in the emergency medicine field.

At Hamilton, he is involved in molecular biology research focusing on gene regulation and developmental genetics. Previously, he worked at the Yale School of Medicine as a neuroscience research assistant studying non-invasive ultrasound treatments for Parkinson’s tremors.

Jacob has also spent time abroad in Panama, where he co-authored a paper on place attachment and wellbeing in surf destination communities. In his free time, he volunteers as an EMT and enjoys surfing, climbing, and snowboarding.
